Introduction of "FA's astro-talk"
Fascination “night sky”….
When I was young, problems and the need for more understanding let me to Astrology - I had a mentor, who taught me a lot….
The accuracy and the possibilities were fascinating, yet, I went a “normal” career way for several year… years later I travelled South East Asia and in a tiny village in the mountains of northern Thailand, I first time really observed the night-sky without light pollution or other “artificial” noise around me….
At that time, I didn’t know yet, that I one day would not only restart with my studies of Astrology but also discovering the fascination of the night sky….
Years later, here I am - with some knowledge of the “living sky” above us and with that I also discovered sidereal Astrology - bringing to “life” the relationship between sciences, the stories of the ancients, and our experiences….
By now I have specialized on planetary cycles Astrology, planetary bodies orbits and their interaction with Earth’s path (ecliptic), the heliocentric view because the planetary bodies orbit the Sun (or the barycenter of the solar system) and not the Earth…. Yes, that’s not always the same as what we observe from Earth because of the angle we look up and that’s why I call the heliocentric view often the “observer view” - a different angle or perspective that can same time open our minds to new points of view, new possibilities and insights….
a jigsaw puzzle is a form of “community”…
When we look at the night sky, we may not always know what exactly there is or how it’s called in our modern times - yet we may find out through Astronomy maps and apps, or we see something forming just as we may see whatever in the clouds….
There’s a lot we think is “fixed”, yet it isn’t - science has turned our understanding over and over again…. yet, it’s not without intuition, fantasy, imagination and a “vision” that anyone can really perform anything….
I invite you, to embark with me on a journey without defined destination - we can together see more than one alone, putting the puzzle together into possibilities…
sharing, discussing….
I love discussions - that’s why this Substack is called “astro-talk”…. but I also love to do research and as mentioned above to “puzzle together”, to combine - the sharing here will include my research, my ideas and thoughts about how to apply these results and some posts about current Astrology. Same time I also plan on sharing scientific news and putting them into relation to the broad theme of Astrology…..
As the heavens and scientists do not work according our calendar system, there will be at times more posts and at other times fewer…. often they will “interrelate” as well.
I will do my very best to publish at least twice a month.
I took this picture of Jupiter with some of his moons and Saturn (sigh, I know, one wouldn’t think that) during the “Great Conjunction” of the two gas-giants in December 2020 through a telescope at Astropark Chiang Mai, Thailand……
Giggles - I’m obviously not an “astro photographer” and so most pictures I share will be from the net… Some “graphics” or other related “pictures” are usually done by myself… You know, Geometry does play a major role too…..
Right now, I’m starting here, so I’m kind of having to get the handle of it first and explore the possibilities this platform holds… so, please be patient with me… I though have already added a section on this “Substack site” called “free basics” within which I will share some explanations and stuff …..
Monthly or annual paid subscription will be coming soon - you will not only get everything into your inbox, but you also have always access to elder posts, that may interrelate, as well as full and ongoing access to all “free basics”.
Thank you for your interest and I’m sending much Love,
Franziska (Fran) Arnet
